Statistician, Data scientist, Real Time Marketplace Forecasting of Time Series, C++

We have a team of statisticians, economists, machine learning scientists, and operations researchers who develop and own the mathematical and computational technology which is used for price forecast and augmenting trader’s decision in real-time on the currency and commodities marketplace. The team aligns with Radioactive’s marketplace related product and engineering initiatives to enable the highest precision price projection of instrument and optimal assets management in cooperation with professional market traders. These fascinating and challenging problems include: building and optimizing the our prediction engine; identifying and predicting price correlation and movement patterns from various indices provided from several platforms and APIs including trading volume, commitment of traders, historical index data; building libraries or embedding and optimizing existing implementation of latest methodologies in applied statistics for time series in cooperation with highly qualified team of scientist and engineers; and many more.

As a statistician focusing on Real-Time Marketplace Forecasting, you will be developing a variety of forecasting models together with engineered implementations for use in Radioactive’s marketplace decision systems. Not only will you be modeling localized index price patterns, and trading behaviors, but also the effects of other external factors such as commitment of traders, price of commodities and other indexes, and trading volume. Additionally, this role involves structuring and using time series databases for a variety of uses within these forecasting systems. Therefore, in this position you will play a central role in a majority of Radioactive’s marketplace optimization decisions and have the opportunity to tackle some of commodities and currency market's most innovative and impactful problems related to the operational execution and economic decisions of the business.

For the real-time forecasting statistician role, particular preference is given to candidates with empirical backgrounds in Statistics, Econometrics, Biostatistics, or similar. 

Forecasting areas of special interest include:
Time Series data
Non linear regression models such are Support Vector Regression and its cutting edge advancements
Data preparation including detrending, SSA, Wavelets, Fourier transform
Smart hyper-parameter selection methods based on PSO, GA, Simplex and linear methods as well as solving dual and quadratic problems

Here are the kinds of skills we are looking for:
Minimum 2 years of prior data science or engineering experience in forecasting, time series analysis, and econometrics. Spatial statistics knowledge a plus. Multiple role levels available conditional on experience.
Strong quantitative background: Masters or PhD strongly preferred
Excellent software development skills in one or more of C, C++, or similar. Experience as a software engineer is a strong plus.
Familiarity with analytical tools such as R, Python or Matlab
Familiarity with relational database implementations and SQL - Experience with column oriented storage and Postgres is a plus
Experience with time series databases such are InfluxDB, OpenTSDB, KairosDB, Druid, KDB+ or similar is a plus
Experience in OpenCL, CUDA or OpenMP is a strong plus.
